The Contribution of Atypical Sensory Processing to Executive Dysfunctions, Anxiety and Quality of Life of Children with ADHD

The study examined whether atypical sensory processing (ASP) deteriorate executive function (EFs), anxiety and quality of life (QoL) children with ADHD. Participants were 28 boys ADHD; 31 ADHD + ASP; 56 typical development. Parents completed the Short Sensory Profile (SSP); BRIEF; RCMAS (anxiety) PedsQoL. Boys ASP had lowest EFs, highest QoL. predicted lower social QoL; Anxiety emotional reduced EFs school in may increase anxiety, reduce should be screened respect to child’s cognitive/emotional status daily function.
